Just because what’s going on in your life right now doesn’t feel good, doesn’t mean God’s not working. ~ Joyce Meyer

It can be tough to believe things will get better for you when you’re in the middle of a difficult time in your life. But even during those times God is with you. Remember that God will always answer your prayers, maybe not when you want or how you want, but he will answer your prayers.

Forever by Kari Jobe

The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Saviour of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon Him

One final breath He gave
As heaven looked away
The son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
Forever He is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
Forever He is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

Forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
Forever He is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

You have overcome
You have overcome
You have overcome
You have overcome

There is no doubt in my mind that Christ is alive! Even though he was put to death at Calvary, he overcame death by rising again and then ascended to heaven to be with his Father, God.

Because of those events, we celebrate Easter every year, in the knowledge that Christ really have overcome the world by dying for us.

Have you noticed how some people in your life seems to go missing when you’re going through a difficult time? It’s true that you really do find out who your friends are when you’re struggling. So it is not a surprise that no matter what you’re going through, God stays with you always.

Even when you feel alone, scared or just struggling to face life, God is there with you, and will never leave you alone.

When I walk through deep waters
I know that You will be with me
When I’m standing in the fire
I will not be overcome
Through the valley of the shadow
I will not fear
I am not alone
I am not alone
You will go before me
You will never leave me

Keeper

Have you heard the phrase, “They’re a keeper”? It’s usually used to describe someone who is good for you, that you want to have in your life and want to have in your life forever.

I recently heard this song for the first time:

And the use of the word ‘keeper’ in the song really struck me. God really is the keeper of our hearts when we give them to him. He will look after and love us forever and is most definitely someone we should want in our lives.

Is God the keeper of your heart?

When we’re taught things and they are repeated to us over and over again, or we put into action what we’ve been taught, we are far more likely to remember it.

When it comes to loving one another, the same applies. That’s why the bible tells us that right from the beginning, we are told to love one another:

For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. ~ 1 John 3:11 NIV

Even if you haven’t ben told to love one another, right from the beginning of your life, it’s not too late to love everyone.

Rest in Him

When we’re in need of physical rest, we sleep.

When we’re in need of a rest from life in general we should turn to God, because in Him we can find rest.

Once again this week, we’ve seen many killed in America by someone who decided to use guns they owned to needlessly kill others.

No wonder we find ourselves asking again, “where is love?”

Love is the only force capable of turning an enemy into a friend. ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

With all that’s going on in the world it can be hard to believe sometimes that love can overcome evil. But if we believe in God, and believe in Jesus, we must believe God’s love can overcome the evil in this world.

If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that. In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you. ~ Matthew 5:46-48 (The Message)

God expects us to love everyone, even those who we may think are unloveable. We won’t get a reward if we love everyone, nor should we expect one, as if we love everyone, we are simply doing God’s will.

So no matter how difficult if may be to love everyone you come into contact with, ask God to help you see the good in each of them.

In a day we all utter a lot of words, but here’s something to consider – how many of the words you uttered today were said with sincerity and meaning and how many were simply words you said because they were what you thought others wanted to hear?

I’m sure we’ve all fallen victim to hollow words from others and have also been guilty of says things that haven’t come from our heart. Here’s an example – how many people have ever said to you if ever you need anything day or night just give me a call? I wonder how many of them would actually answer their phone if we were to call them in the middle of the night?

Gods words are always from the heart and are always sincere, so as he tells us to come to him, he really does mean whenever and wherever we are.
