If you had to give someone advice on how to be the best person they could be, here’s some great advice:

Be strong, but not rude. Be kind, but not weak. Be bold, but don’t bully. Be humble, but not timid. Be confident, but not arrogant.

I simply pray today that God will help me to just be each of those things.

Wounds don’t need to be physical to be painful, as emotional wounds can be just as painful, if not more painful!

Whether they be physical or emotional wounds, they do heal over time. While the scar may still be visible, that doesn’t mean we should reminding ourselves of the pain and hurt we felt when we acquired those wounds. When our wounds have healed, leave them healed, remember the lessons the wounds taught us, but most of all, move on.

Just because we pray for healing from illness for ourselves, friends or family, doesn’t mean God will grant that prayer. That doesn’t mean we won’t receive blessings from what becomes our new ‘normal’.

Even in our darkest times, we can still receive blessings from God, sometimes from the most surprising sources.

Safe

Depending on how much you value something, always seems to co-relate to how strongly you are willing to hold onto it, and keep it safe.

That’s probably why none of us are ever able to hold onto things more than God holds onto us, because He values each and every one of us as his top priority.

So feel safe in God’s arms.

Take a few minutes to consider the people who have been part of your life at any time, now or in the past, who have brought you blessings…

Now take another few minutes to think about those who came into your life, but instead of being a blessing,  ended up teaching you a life lesson…

Which made you feel better, thinking of those who brought you blessing, or those who taught you a life lesson?

I hope and pray that I treat every person who comes into my life the same, regardless of how they treat me. It may be hard at times, but I know with God’s help I can treat everyone equally.

Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself, and know that everything in life has purpose. There are no mistakes, no coincidences, all events are blessings given to us to learn from.

Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Take a few moments today to just stop and think about yourself, and what your life is all about…why are you here…what is your life’s purpose?

Everything in life happens for a reasons, and even the things which we wish didn’t happen, happen so that we can learn from them. So maybe everything that happens to us, good or bad, are actually blessings in disguise.

If ever we need a reminder that God has promised to love us always, we can find it in Deuteronomy 7:9 (NIV)

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

The question is, are you repaying God’s faith in you by loving Him?

We’re all only here on earth for a short time, but when we’re gone, will we be remembered?

@FamousWomen: One day, you’ll be just a memory for some people. Do your best to be a good one.

We all have people who have had an impact on our life, good and bad. Some of those people may have passed away, but we still think about them and the example they were to us and the knowledge they imparted to us.

I simply pray that I will continue to do my best in all I do, so that I am a good memory for others.

We don’t always realise at the time that situations and circumstances we find ourselves in are actually teaching us life lessons, bringing us closer to God, to the first steps to undertaking new tasks in His name.

We don’t always appreciate how good our lives, our friends and our family are, until we lose them.

That’s why it’s important to make the most of where you are right now, because although you may be in the middle of a storm, they may be blessings or mercies in disguise. So don’t miss those blessings just because they have come to you at unexpected times or from unexpected sources.

Blessings by Laura Story

We pray for blessings, we pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
And all the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things

‘Cause what if your blessings come through rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom, Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your word is not enough
And all the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we’d have faith to believe

‘Cause what if your blessings come through rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not,
This is not our home
It’s not our home

‘Cause what if your blessings come through rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near

What if my greatest disappointments or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise

Immortal yet You once died for me,
To pay my debt to set me free
Invisible You will not always be
‘Cause You’re coming to reign as our king
And the saints will fall down at Your feet

Yes, we cannot physically see God, but we can see Him in everything around us, and in the actions of others.

Let’s make sure God is not invisible in our lives, and that others can see God through our words and actions.
