When we shout, people hear.

When people hear you shout, do they understand why you are shouting? Do you they respond to your shouts, or do they turn away and pretend they haven’t heard you?

As I’ve said in earlier posts this week, being in a crowd when you feel alone, can be one of the loneliest places in the world – No matter how loud you shout, no-one hears you; No matter how friendly everyone seems, you feel isolated and alone.

When you hear someone cry for help, no matter how loud or how quiet, listen and act as someone needs you. Someone needs you to be the true friend they are desperately in need of.

In other words, God is my everything – Is He yours?

How many times have you heard or been told that you can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family?

If you were given that option, would you choose the family you have? And secondly, do you think your family choose you?

When in comes to God’s family, we are all chosen. God made every one of us individually and uniquely in his image, so it’s no surprise God will always choose us. The question is, based on our words and our actions, do we deserve to be chosen by God?

Let’s do all we can do to deserve God’s unconditional love. And just as God loves us unconditionally, let’s make sure we everyone we meet unconditionally.

In the last few days I’ve talked about how we get through tough times in our life. We can appear to be completely deflated and defeated by what we face, but when we follow the advice given in the posts of the last few days, we can find strength.

When we pray and give our all to God, He can start working in us, and through us, and start healing and renewing us for the inside out. So again I urge you, give all your problems and concerns to God, and He will help you through every situation you face.

Jesus was always willing to help others no matter who they were or where they were. If you see someone in need, how willing are you to stop and help?

I suspect you’re probably thinking about what you’d do if you were walking along a street and came across someone in need of help. However what about those who are sitting right beside you just now, have you taken a minute to consider whether they are in need?

I don’t necessarily mean are they in need of food or shelter – but are they in need of support…someone to talk to…someone to give them a hug…

It can often be those closest to us that are most in need. But it can also be those closest to us that we are least likely to notice that something is wrong.

However, when we do look after the physical or emotional needs of others, we can consider it valuable work.

I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me ~ Matthew 25:40

We all struggle with difficulties in life sometimes, but how do we treat others when we see they are struggling?

When we struggle that’s when we’re most in need of the love and support of our fellow Christians, but sadly, this is when many find their fellow Christians don’t seem interested in helping or supporting them, and in fact turn their back on them.

How sad is that? Is this how Christ would treat someone who was struggling? I really doubt that – He instead would hold out His arms and lovingly embrace them, wouldn’t he?

Just like anyone who is hurting, a Christian also needs the love and support of those around them. Surely it’s not unreasonable for them to expect their fellow Christians to love and support them, and pray for them. At these times, praying for the person isn’t enough – we must show them Christian love too.

I know from my own experience that when I’m hurting and life is overwhelming me, what I really need is someone just to give me a hug, show their support and reassure me all will be well.

Spread some Christian love today. Reach out and show some love to someone who is hurting…it could well mean the world to them!

I Need Love by Sonicflood

You know who I am inside
You know when I lie
You can tell when I’m amazed
You can see my faith
You know when I don’t believe
You know when I’m free
You can tell when I need love
You know I’m in need

Love, I need love
You are love
I need You
Love, You are love
I need love
I need You

You know of my deepest fear
You know when I’m scared
You can read my empty page
You can feel my rage
You’re aware of when I dream
You see when I bleed
You can tell when I need love
You know I’m in need

I know we need You, Father
Much more than any other
Your love brings us together
We need You, we need You

Love, we need love
You are love
We need You
Love, You are love
We need love
We need You I need You.

You know who I am inside…

…what do you do? Who do you turn to?

Prayer must be your rock, that you turn to during the highs and lows of life. Corrie Ten Boom once asked

Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?

In other words, don’t just resort to prayer when you face problems, get down on your knees and pray during the good as well as the bad times.

Prayer isn’t just for emergencies, it’s for everyday life!

In need?

We all think sometimes we can “get by” on our own, but it’s worth remembering that Jesus is there for us all the time, we simply have to tell Him we need Him.

Do you need Christ today?

what have you gained by prayer Does this make sense to you? I does to me! Yesterday (in It’s Me)I spoke about failures and my failures in particular, and these are exactly the sort of things the above quote is referring to. As I said yesterday, we must take all our failures (including those mentioned above – anger, ego, greed, depression, insecurity, fear), to God, and we do that by praying. Ultimately everything in life can be helped by praying, and our failures are no different. So today, choose to gain the world by losing your failings by taking them all to God.

Do you find it difficult to live as Christ wants you to live?

Do you find it hard to profess your faith to those in your daily life?

If you do, you’re only human! However, there is a big difference between finding it difficult to live like a Christian and not trying to live as a Christian.

If a man cannot be a Christian in the place he is, he cannot be a Christian anywhere ~ Henry Ward Beecher

Food for thought isn’t it?

We need to be Christians where we are in our daily lives, wherever that may be, and no matter how difficult that may be.
