Have you ever felt God is very near to you? What did it feel like?
As I life-long Christian, I believe God is with me all the time. However there have been times in my life when feeling God’s presence with me has been very emotional for me. Why? Because sometimes when life is a struggle and you feel everything and everyone is going against you, it can feel like God has forgotten about you. So the reminder that God is there through it all is the reason it can be such an emotional time as it can be such a great relief at those times.
Do you need to be reminded that God is always near?
Just talk to God, He will remind you He is there for you – He will never let you down!

Of course your god is near. Gods are projections of the subconscious mind. You can’t get much closer than that. 😉

I believe God knows what you need so it may not feel like He is always there.
I think you raise an interesting point about, “struggle and you feel everything and everyone is going against you”, from my experience and I have to say I found Jesus very recently this has happened whenever I have gone it alone, whenever I’ve handed my life over to Jesus to work things out they have (not necessarily how I EXPECTED)

Is God always near? It really depends on your outlook. The outlook of a inspired mind is always inspired. What are you doing that inspires you? I have yet to see a bitter man ( christian or not ) that see’s anything but a bitter world. The real answer is found not in the methodology but in the eyes of the beholder. Intake = outlook.
