In the last few days I’ve found myself wondering (again!), why I bother writing this blog.
I know people read my blog and I have been told on a few occasions it has helped someone come closer to God. However there have been certain individuals who seem to feel it is their job to tell me what to do and what I shouldn’t do, and despite me asking them to stop harassing me they have continued to do so. So much so, that I have now stopped using Blog Catalog to promote my blog as the “culprits” were contacting me via that website.
So where am I now? Well, after much soul-searching, encouragement/support for others plus a lot of praying, I have come to realise that all that’s gone on in the last few days is simply the Devil at work – After all why am I questioning myself when I know that not only is this what God wants me to be doing, it’s also just folk who are either less informed or scared of God who seem to take offence at what I’ve been saying. i.e. I believe it this is how God is using me try to reach others, to teach them a little of what God can do for them. Also just take a look back at yesterday’s blog post called Courageous, it’s almost like I was having that conversation with myself! God works in mysterious ways!
To my regular readers, thank you for you continued support, I really do appreciate it. To anyone reading this blog for the first time, I apologise for my rant…honestly, it’s not usually like this!
I may not always blog about God, but I hope and pray that through what I write on here, you may read something that makes you stop and think about your faith, or challenge your unbelief.

Whilst I don’t always agree 100% with what you write, I do always respectfully read what you have to say. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it a million times if I need to; on a number of occasions your writing has touched me personally. You write from the heart Dot and no-one has the right to tell you that you shouldn’t be doing that. Please don’t stop writing! 🙂 x

Thank you for that Hannah. It can be tough at times when your being “attacked” from various people just for saying what I believe, but as I said in my blog I’ve come to realise it’ll just me being tested by the devil. However God is strong and He can make/keep us strong too, and I truly believe that’s what He’s done for me.
I would never expect you or anyone else to fully agree with everything I ever say, so don’t worry that doesn’t bother me – After all a bit of discussion is good for us all, so long as it doesn’t go OTT as some of the things that have been said to me by others has been.

Hi Dot,
I enjoy reading your blog and am always amazed at the fact that you hardly ever miss a day. Everybody has the opportunity to agree or not with you, but there’s no need for some of the harassment that some people send in your direction. Like Hannah, there are times when I don’t always fully agree with what you write, but these are very rare and few and far between. Unfortunately there are people out there just trolling for opportunities to cause trouble. I’m sure that most of your readers are supportive and look forward to your daily posting. I know that I do. Awh thanks for that, I really appreciate it. It is tough at times when some people make unkind or unpleasant comments, however I know that through God’s help I can rise above it and continue to do what He has directed me to do.
I really appreciate the support you and many others give me – after all with you guys reading my blog, there would be no point me me writing!
