A couple of days ago (on Tuesday) I spoke about whether it matters what priority we put on the people/situations we are praying for. i.e. what order we pray from them in our prayers. (You can read this in Prioritisation In Prayer). The conclusion I came to yesterday was that prioritisation of prayer, by us, doesn’t matter, as ultimately God decides when and how to answer prayer.
Today however I want you to consider whether it’s important for us to prioritise the things we do in our life.
As far as I’m concerned I think the answer to this question is just as clear-cut as yesterday’s question, however the answer couldn’t be more different!
Yesterday, prioritisation in prayer doesn’t matter, but I believe it really does matter how we prioritise our life.
Why? Because if we spend our life doing things that we think are important, rather than what God wants us to do, we have failed and disappointed God. If we try to prioritise our life on our own we will never match up to what God wants us to do, so like so many things in life, it’s down to us to ensure that we prioritise our life based on God’s will.
How do we do that? We pray to God for guidance and then we listen to Hm and act when He gives us direction.
