Yesterday in A New Spiritual Start I asked you at the start of this new year, to consider refocusing your spiritual life. But how do we go about refocusing our life on God?
Refiner’s Fire Purify my heart Let me be as gold and precious silver Purify my heart Let me be as gold, pure gold Refiner’s fire My heart’s one desire Is to be holy Set apart for You, Lord I choose to be holy Set apart for You, my Master Ready to do Your will Purify my heart Cleanse me from within And make me holy Purify my heart Cleanse me from my sin Deep within
Well first and foremost, as the words of the above song suggest, we must choose to be holy and in choosing to be holy we must be willing to set ourselves apart for God.
Secondly we must give our all to God, so that He can cleanse me from within and make me holy. We can’t truly dedicate ourselves to God if we keep part of ourselves from Him.
Philippians 3:15-16 (The Message)
So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision—you’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it.
So what now? Pray!
The main way to ask God into your life is to get down on your knees and pray to God, a prayer from deep in your heart. A prayer of sincerity, a prayer of compassion, commitment and dedication to Him.
God will hear your pray, and He will purify your heart.
Thanks for sharing and God bless you.
