Lots of Doors

We often hear people saying, “As one door closes, another opens”, but is that statement true for all of us?

The doors which we talk about in these statements, are often virtual doors, rather than actual physical door….there would be no room in this world if there were doors for everyone’s opportunities would there!?

Alexander Graham Bell once said:

When one door closes, another opens, but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us.

That statement is also true is many circumstances, I myself can think of several situations where one situation came to a conclusion, I was upset and disappointed that I was blind to another opportunity available to be to continue the work I was doing, but I missed it and again was upset about that too.

So don’t keep clinging onto past achievements and successes, but be aware of new opportunities that will allow you to extend your knowledge and friendships.

Don’t get too over focused on “doors” though as many of these are hypothetical door which God creates us to help and guide us through life.

  1. Sometimes, God beckons us to follow through a new door looking onto a new horizon which is new to us but we need to remember that He knows where He is leading us. He has gone ahead and prepared the next situation or phase and He knows exactly what He is doing although we often have questions. Trust is paramount. I have gone through many doors and maizes but can boast in Him that He leads the way in the way He wants us to go and always provides and equips in surprisingly generous ways. He is our God of great kindness.
