Have you ever noticed how there are some things which happen in films which never ever happen in real life?
Here’s a few examples which show what I’m saying:
- It’s always possible to find a parking spot either right outside the building you’re going to or directly across the road
- All locks can be easily picked using a credit card, except when there’s someone inside the building or room whose life is in danger
- When there’s a police stake-out in progress, nothing interesting ever happens until the police officers are eating or have a hot cup of coffee perched on the dashboard
- You very rarely ever see anyone having to put petrol or diesel in their car because cars never run out of fuel in the movies unless they’re involved in a car chase
- All building ventilation systems can be used as great hiding places where no-one ever thinks to look for you
- When you turn out the lights in your bedroom when you go to bed, everything in your room is still visible, it just has a bit of a strange bluish/white glow to it
- Anyone can successful land a Boeing 747 plane simply by being given instructions direct from the control tower
- A chainsaw is always available when needed!
- When in Paris, you can see the Eiffel Tower from any room window
- You always wakeup with all your makeup on perfectly!
Any of these sound familiar?
Obviously these are complete generalisations because not every film follows the above rules, but I’m sure you’ll agree, you can think of a lot which do!
