How do you feel when someone you love has died?
It can be hard for us to comprehend sometimes why people die, especially when they have been killed in an accident or by another person, or have died unexpectedly.
So that can make it even more difficult to comprehend why God would allow Jesus to die on the cross, when He could have saved Him…
What He Was Dying To Say by Garry Druery
When Jesus was a boy With the teachers in the temple They were so amazed That a child could speak this way He was so excited About His Father’s business There were so many things He was dying to say Then after He turned thirty He went back to the temple To say He was the Son of God, The Truth, the Life, the Way They took Him to a hill They called the Skull To render Him silent But they could not prevent What He was dying to say He was dying to tell the world How much He really cared It wasn’t the old rusty nails That kept Him hanging there The expression on His face Gave the real reason away He had something on His heart He was dying to say. He said, “I love you.” “I love you.” “I love you” is what He said. He said, “I love you.” “I love you” And He cared enough That He wrote it down in red. He was dying to tell the world How much He really cared It wasn’t the old rusty nails That kept Him hanging there The expression on His face Gave the real reason away He had something on His heart He was dying to say.Jesus died because God loved as so much that he was willing to sacrifice his own son, just so our sins could be forgiven. I cannot begin to imagine how God must have felt, seeing His Son dying. Doesn’t this make you want to repay God even more for all He does for you?
So how can we ever repay God for sacrificing Jesus, so we could be saved? We can give Him our hearts, our lives and our all.
