How difficult is it to forgive someone when they do or say something over and over again, that hurts you?
It’s incredibly difficult isn’t it. It can be hard to forgive some people just the once, but when they continue to hurt you over and over again, it can seem impossible.
That’s why it’s so incredible that no matter how often we hurt God by doing or saying things which are not Christ-like, He still forgives us.
I love the way The Passion Translation puts Psalm 130:3-4, which sums up what I’ve said so well:
Lord, if you measured us and marked us with our sins, who would ever have their prayers answered? But your forgiving love is what makes you so wonderful. No wonder you are loved and worshiped!
