The golden repair

Have you ever had a day when you feel completely broken? Maybe life events have taken their toll on you. Maybe your own health or that of a loved one is physically draining you.

I’ve had days like that! In fact I’ve had a lot of days like that! Well a few days ago a friends shared this in a Facebook group that we’re both members of, and it really struck a chord with me, and got me thinking.

Some think that if we believe in God, our lives are wonderful, that somehow we’re immune to facing any difficulties or problems in our lives. How wrong they are!

We’re all human, and so regardless of colour, race, beliefs etc, we all go through difficult times in our lives. The only difference is, those of us who believe in God, know that when we go through difficult times, we don’t do so alone, because we know God walks every step with us.

For me, although I have always attended church (Salvation Army), I admit that I didn’t comprehend just how much I needed God in my life until I faced some of the most difficult days of my life. During those .times I believe that without God looking out for me and guiding me, I would not be here today. That is why the above picture struck a chord with me, as the gold repairs to the broken objects reminded me of all those times when God has help keep me from breaking irreparably.

The next time you feel broken, remember God is the gold that can, and will repair you.
