Changing emotions are always difficult to deal with, particularly when the cause of them is out with our own control.
I cannot imagine how extreme the emotions of those who were there when Jesus died on a cross, and then just a few days later, discovered his empty tomb, and found he was alive again.

Going from despair and grief on Good Friday to elation and glory a few days later when Jesus rose from the dead. Extreme emotions, all for the One who sacrificed his all for us.
Christ’s death may at first have seemed like the saddest day in history, but because of what we now know what happened on Easter Sunday, it is now the greatest day in history. And for that reason, I am glad there were only 3 days between the saddest and gladdest days in history!
