Secrets

Heard a quote on a TV programme earlier which has stuck with me

The best way to keep a secret is to have no-one to tell it to.

I think this quote stuck with me, not necessarily because it is true, but becauseI found it sad that someone was in a position where they had no-one in their lives that they could share a secret with.

We may complain about this person or that person – it may even be a family member we complaint about – but at the end of the day, at least we have people in our lives we can talk to. And hopefully some of them might be people we feel we can trust with things that we find hardest to share, or are so personal and private to us we’ve never been able to share with anyone.

So bare a thought, and a prayer for those who are on their own – no friends, no family, no-one who cares for them or checks up on them. They truly need our prayers, as they really need to feel God’s loving arms around them, and the peace and comfort that brings. After all we may have secrets for each other, but we have no secrets from God, because he knows every unique and personal thing about us – In fact he knows us better than we know ourselves!

I pray for you all tonight that you know you are never alone, because God is with you. May you feel God’s loving arms around you today and every day.
