What does this new year hold?

No, I’m not psychic, I simply want to get you to think about your expectations for this new year.

2020 I’m sure is a year most of us will want to forget, as it was such a challenging year for us all in so many ways. However, as I’m sure I’ve said in previous blog posts, we learn from and gain strength from our struggles, so let’s use them to help us to be ready for whatever 2021 brings our way.

Christmas for most this year was very different to what Christmas normally looks like for you. Your Christmas and New year leave from work may also be over, or almost over, but don’t let that mean that you now forget about what Christmas is all about for another 11 months when we celebrate Christmas 2021.

We must continue to celebrate Christ, as Christ coming to earth is something to be celebrated every day of the year, as without that event, our lives would be so very different.

Whatever 2021 has in store for each of us, I am assured that God will be with us through each of them, giving us the strength, help and guidance to get through those times. I therefore urge you, at the start of this new year to let go of whatever is preventing you from fulfilling God’s plan for your life in 2021, and give God your heart, your life, your all.

What Now? by Steven Curtis Chapman

I saw the face of Jesus
In a little orphan girl
She was standing in the corner
On the other side of the world
And I heard the voice of Jesus
Gently whisper to my heart
Didn’t you say you wanted to find Me
Well, here I am, here you are

So what now
What will you do now that you’ve found Me?
What now
What will you do with this treasure you’ve found
I know I may not look like what you expected
But if you’ll remember
This is right where I said I would be
You found me, what now?

And I saw the face of Jesus
Down on Sixteenth Avenue
He was sleeping in an old car
While his mom went looking for food
And I heard the voice of Jesus
Gently whisper to my soul
Didn’t you say you wanted to know me
Well, here I am
And it’s getting cold

So what now
What will you do now that you’ve found Me?
What now
What will you do with this treasure you’ve found
I know I may not look like what you expected
But if you’ll remember
This is right where I said I would be
You found me, what now?

 So come and know
Come and know, know me now
Come, come and know, know me now
 Oh, come and know
Come, come and know, know me now
Come, come and know, know me now
