Always forgive

I’ve spoken about forgiveness a few times this week – forgiving those who hurt us and forgiving ourselves. That all sounds great doesn’t it, but forgiving someone isn’t always easy. However in order to be forgiven of our sins, we must first forgive those who have hurt us.

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

Mark 11:25

Forgiveness is hard to give when we’ve been deeply hurt by someone, but by telling God about the hurt we feel, our struggle to honestly forgive the offender, God can give us the desire to forgive. Only then can be sincerely forgive, and in turn be forgiven ourselves.
