I think it’s fair to say, we’d all like to live healthy, happy and successful lives. That’s probably why, even although we know being a Christian doesn’t mean we are guaranteed a happy, healthy or successful life, we can sometimes become discouraged when life is hard, and the plans we thought God had for us either don’t seem to be coming to fruition or don’t seem to be good for us.
It’s at times like these that we need to take a step back from what we’re facing, and feeling, and remind ourselves of God’s promises to us.
So over a series of posts I will share some verses from scripture which I hope will you will find helpful as they aim to remind us that God plans to provide for our welfare, our future, as well as giving us hope.
In this post, I want to share a reminder from God that he will provide everything you need to do His will.
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 13:20-21 (NIV)
When God asks us to do something, it can be very daunting, particularly when he’s asking us to do something we have no experience of doing. However, God has promised to equip us for every task He asks us to undertake, so just as I said yesterday, we must put our faith fully in God, because he will always be with us and provide everything we need.
Because of Christ, God has given us everything we need in life, and will continue to provide for us until the day we see him face to face.
Even if you do find yourself going through difficult times, God still has a plan for you. Remember that because of Jesus, God has provided a way for us to live the life he created us to live, to glorify and honour Him forever – I believe that is a good plan for us.
