Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.
Have you ever had a time when you are already working on something, and then find your thoughts continually reinforcing what you’re working on? I have experienced just that in the last week, as since I first started writing today’s devotions about hope, I have found myself thinking about ‘hope’, and more specifically, the everlasting hope that only God can provide.
The same hand that pushed the rock from the tomb can shove away your doubt. The same power that stirred the still heart of Christ can stir your flagging faith. The same strength that put Satan on his heels can, and will, defeat Satan in your life. Death, failure, betrayal, sickness, disappointment – they cannot take your hope, because they cannot take your Jesus.
Unshakeable Hope by Max Lucado
These words from Max Lucado will hopefully remind you, that if ever you feel your life is hopeless, no matter what you are going through, God is with you and will never leave you or disappoint you.
Never give up hope for your future, because in God we can find everlasting hope.
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own great presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today, and bright hope for tomorrow Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.
