I’m sure we all want to our friends and family, and ourselves, to have happy and healthy lives. Unfortunately much of what happens in our life is out with our control, so we need to find ways of coping, or dare I say, surviving life.
This post is part of a series in which I’ll provide a few suggestions on how to improve your life, ones which have been found to work for many over the years.
Today’s suggestion is make sure you are always there when your friends or family need you.
That might seem to be an obvious thing to say, but when you’re in the middle of difficult times, you can sometimes underestimate how serious a situation is, not intentionally, but possibly just because you don’t want to face the reality of it. Don’t let yourself be fooled into thinking everything is ok either with yourself or someone you love, just be there for them as they may be trying to ‘shield’ you from how they are really feeling.
Remember, always be there for your loved ones when they need you, because take it from me, you will find it hard to forgive yourself if you’re not there when they most need you.
