In the last week I’ve come across the same chorus several times – it was strange because I hadn’t heard or sung for a while
Christ is the answer to my every need Christ is the answer He is my friend indeed Problems of life my spirit may assail With Christ my Saviour I can never fall For Christ is the answer to my need.
It is a chorus which always makes me think of being a junior soldier in the YP Band at Rutherglen, as I think (someone correct me if I’m wrong) we used to play this then. I certainly remember it being chosen as a favourite by several folk during chorus time too.
The main thing I want to say about this chorus is, it might be a simply melody, but the words are full of truths, because no matter what we’re going through or how alone we may feels, Christ really is the answer to my every need.
