
It’s good to receive a compliment, but don’t let it make you big-headed or conceited about your abilities or your deeds because of it. Compliments are good things, because they let us know we’re doing things well, we’re making a different. Sadly though, as a society, we don’t compliment one another often enough.
Conversely, although criticism can come in many forms, if given correctly, it can help us become better people at what we do. However criticism can often be given in a negative way which means the recipient may be upset or hurt by the criticism, and take it to heart.
Sadly, we all find it much easier to criticise one another (and ourselves), than to give compliments.
