No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the father cried, “Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!”
Mark 9:24 (The Message)
As Christians we trust God to take care of, and direct our lives, but sometimes we are faced with life events which put a dent in our faith. At those times, we can feel unable to find the faith we know we possess, just to seek God’s help. It’s at those times that we need God most, and so should reach out to God for guidance, but even that can be hard at these times.
Someone who doesn’t believe in God is not interested in God, or in ‘having faith in Him’. That’s where a non-believer differs from someone who does believe in God, because the believer is always interested in God, and always seeks to grow their faith. The believer knows they need God to continue to grow in faith because their faith is far from prefect.
