Self esteem is typically defined as confidence in one’s own worth or abilities. As a Christian, self esteem could be defined as having confidence that we are who God says we are. In other words, we’re not dependent on our on abilities, but instead relying on God to provide all we need to achieve what we has planned for us.
Have you ever found yourself saying this about yourself, “I tried so hard, but I just wasn’t good enough”?
Don’t give in to that lie, as you are more than enough, and God tells us that in the bible.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9
Whenever you feel like you’re not good enough, it can be easy to hide from life, to want to blend in and avoid bringing attention to yourself. Those are exactly the times that you need to remember that God tells us to be strong and courageous.
Remember, God will be with you wherever you go. He will give you the strength and encouragement to live your life with confidence.
