Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.

We all have a tendency to focus on our failures, our difficulties, rather than celebrate our successes and our achievements. I wonder why that is because when we focus on the positives in our lives it does life our spirits and encourages us to strive to experience those successes once again.
So today I challenge myself and each of you, to focus on your successes, your blessings each day, and leave the challenges of the past exactly where they are, in the past.
In writing this I was reminded of these words which we sing to the tune Aurelia, which remind us that God will guide us in our future days, just as He has guided us to where we are today.
Be still, my soul: Your God will undertake To guide the future as he has the past. Your hope, your confidence let nothing shake; All now mysterious shall be bright at last. Be still, my soul: The waves and winds still know His voice who ruled them while he dwelt below.
