I don’t know how you feel about yourself, but I sometimes don’t like myself! That may or may not surprise you. I do not love myself sometimes particularly when I think or say things in reaction to situations or circumstances I find myself in.
Jesus (quoting Scripture): “Love the Eternal One your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is nearly as important, “Love your neighbour as yourself.”

When I don’t love myself, how can I possibly be capable of loving anyone else? It’s all down to me I know. I must remember that no matter how often I fail God, or what I think or say, God still loves me. Therefore, if God loves me, how can I not love myself!
In turn, if I can learn to love myself no matter what, then I can try, with God’s help, to love everyone else as God love them.
