Easter is over, the Easter school holidays are over, the long Easter weekend off work is long gone, so that means we’re all back to our normal daily life again…or are we?
That might seem like a strange question from me, so let me explain – Last weekend was Easter, when we mourn the death of Jesus at Calvary on Good Friday, and then rejoice at his resurrection on Easter Sunday. What a glorious day!
Personally I always find myself very deeply emotional over Easter, as the events that took place at that first Easter, and their repercussions/meaning for us today, truly hit me every year. So I guess my question about whether after Easter you’re back to your normally daily life again, is really about where you are in your faith journey now after your Easter celebrations – how did your Easter celebrations affect you and your belief that Jesus died for us all, so we could live as we do today. It’s huge, it’s unbelievable, but it is true – Jesus died just for me and for you!
I urge you to really consider where you are in your Christian journey today. I pray that you may have found yourself at the foot of the cross at Easter. If not, it’s not too late to kneel before him today and renew your commitment to him. Take your place at the foot of the cross.
