Survived another week

It’s the end of another working week.

Maybe you’ve arrived here breathless, worn thin by responsibilities, deadlines, or the quiet weight of things unsaid. Maybe your week was full of noise—meetings, errands, decisions—or maybe it was marked by silence that felt too loud. Either way, you made it. And that matters.

Some weeks feel like survival. Not thriving, not soaring—just getting through. And while the world may celebrate productivity and progress, heaven sees something deeper: perseverance. Faithfulness. The quiet courage of showing up.

If your head has been full of doubts…Am I doing enough? Am I good enough?…you’re not alone. Our minds can be harsh critics at times, especially when we’re tired physically or emotionally, but God’s voice is different – He doesn’t measure our worth by our output. Instead, He sees our heart. He knows your limits, and He simply invites you to come to Him and rest.

Come just as you are, hear the Spirit call…

That line from the song Come Just As You Are feels like a huge reassurance at the end of another when you maybe feel unworthy of God’s love. The good news is you don’t need to make yourself perfect before coming to God. You also don’t need to pretend you’re fine if you’re not. You can bring your weariness, your questions, your messed up thoughts, and lay them down before God.

Jesus says, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

So as the week closes, take a deep breath, let go of what you didn’t manage to do, let go of the pressure to be perfect, and turn to God.

You survived another working week. Well done. Now let yourself be held by God.
