Officially I am now on annual leave from work for 2 weeks. Even although we’re not going away anywhere on holiday, I would normally take 2 or 3 weeks off going to church, just so I can have a complete break from everything. However not this time!
Today I was at church, as I normally am on a Sunday morning, as I needed to get a payment put through for our band website – we tried last Sunday, but the credit card we tried to use had expired! We were however successful today.
I now can completely extract myself from all my usual activities…at least for the next 10 days. Our band practices resume a week on Wednesday, and I will need to go to that as we’re taking part in a service the following Saturday. So I’m not getting quite as much time off church as I planned – I guess if we’d been going away on holiday I would have had my 2 or 3 weeks off, so that’s a down side of not going away anywhere.
I’m at church every Sunday unless I’m unwell, so I would have liked a bit of a break – I’ll just need to take a break another time. To be honest I doubt anyone has noticed that I’m never missing unless I’m ill, and I do wonder if anyone will noticed when I’m not there next week…I’ll soon find out!
Anyway, church done today, so my church/band out of office is now on, at least for 10 days!
Time to relax and recharge, finally.
