Life can be hard to cope with at times, particularly when we have a number of difficult or stressful situations to deal with at the same time.

The best way to cope when you’re stressed or struggling to deal with life issues is to give all your stresses and problems to God and let Him take care of all of them. That’s easy to say, but can be incredibly difficult do because when we’re going through a tough time we can forget to pray, thinking God has abandoned us. The worst thing is, it’s during these times that we need God most.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 – King James Version)

Be assured that God will give you all you need when life gets tough. Give all your problems to God today.

Come just as you are by Sydney Staff Songsters

Have you heard the following quote before?

It’s a quote I’ve seen and read a number of times in the past, but today I’ve found an added dimension to this when I found the following image

Yes, to change the world we must love our family, but to love them we must truly live as God wants us to. Therefore we must live as we’re instructed to do by God, and once we start treating our family as we should, we can them start working with and treating our friends and neighbours as we should; Then our community and so on, until we reach the world!

Jesus once again addressed them: “I am the world’s Light. No one who follows me stumbles around in the darkness. I provide plenty of light to live in.” ~ John 8:12 (The Message)

Even when it seems all hope is lost we will have light in our life, if Christ is part of our life.

That’s why even in the darkest days, we can still find our way, because Jesus has promised to provide all the light we need to live in.

Have you ever wondered whether Jesus was ready to die on that first Easter morning?

I’m sure if we already knew the date and time of our death we would be devastated as that date drew near, we probably wouldn’t want to go yet. Jesus, even though He knew we was going to die at Calvary, carried on willingly, preparing for His death.

Jesus willingly went to the cross because he knew it was His time to change the world forever – It was His time to save the world!

Sometimes days can be tough, and you can feel like no one cares, and your life is worthless. It’s days like this that we need to be reminded of a few facts

you-are

You are you, you are unique, and most importantly, you are loved by God!

I never thought I’d ever find anything that God has never seen, but I have!

God has never seen

You can see there is a very good reason why God has never seen these things. I pray that if you feel you have never sinned, or God does not love you, or God cannot save you, think again, because He can because He loves you!

Sydney Staff Songsters remind us of this truth in God Loves You:

Are you really listening for God speaking to you?

We live such busy lives these days, rushing around from one task/event to another – but do we really stop and spend any quiet time, away from the business of every day life, alone with God so we can just listen to Him?

hearing God through the noise

Maybe it’s not that we should be hearing God through the noise, but instead we should be making sure we have some quiet time so we can just listen to God!

I am listening Lord by Sydney Staff Songsters of the Salvation Army:

We talk about being “members” of a church, but that makes it sound like church is some kind of organisation that doesn’t welcome others in who aren’t members and requires us to complete some kind of application form before being allowed to join – I don’t know about you, but that’s not the image of church I want church to portray to others.

Church is not an organisation you join; it is a family where you belong, a home where you are loved and a hospital where you find healing. ~ Nicky Gumbel

So let’s make sure our churches places where others feel they can come and receive love, friendship and healing, without needing to meet a set of requirements – The only requirement is that you are a child of God, and we all meet that requirement!

So come just as you are to church – Here’s the Sydney Staff Songsters of the Salvation Army singing Come Just As You Are:

During tough times it can sometimes be difficult to understand how anything good can come out of it, can’t it? That’s why the following is so reassuring:

Do you believe God can find good in every situation? I do!

Have you ever thought about how many people you see or are in contact with on a daily basis?

As a test of this, on one day last week I tried to count roughly how many people that I was in contact with (by phone, email, text or in person) from the time I left the house in the morning until the time I got home at night – At a rough count I estimated I was in contact with somewhere between 60 and 70 people.

To be honest, that number surprised me, as I hadn’t expected there to be so many people!

This got me thinking about how many of those people may or may not know Christ in their lives. Imagine if every day we each reached out to just 1 person we’re in contact with, and told them about Christ – Imagine how many people would soon hear about Christ. That sounds like a challenge to me!

Are you up for the challenge?

Here’s the Sydney Staff Songsters singing Reach The World, which remind us that reaching out to just one person, is how we can start to tell the world about God!
