Intention

How many times have you heard someone say they did it “with the best of intentions”?

Is it good enough just to do things with the “best of intentions” or should we in fact just make sure we’re doing the right thing?

First and foremost, I’d say we must always make sure we are doing the right thing, though I know sometimes it can be hard to distinguish between what the “right thing” is and what we think we should do for the best intention.

So how do we know what is the right thing to do? In all situations and circumstances, our decisions must be backed by God. In other words, God will always direct us to do the right thing, but we must ask Him for guidance and then be willing to listen to His answer.

So let this always be our intention:

Everything the LORD has said we will do (Exodus 24:3 NIV)

  1. When i was kid i asked for guidance from god. For many years there was never a definitive answer. Then one day i realized all that time the right and wrong decisions came from within me, and my own learnings and morality. Whats right and whats wrong is not and has never been controlled by a god, but instead by the morals of the society who created this god. These ideals and morals are bound to change over the years, and those who believe in god will spend their lives fighting it. Ie abortion, sex before marriage, and homosexuality just to name a limited few of the big ones. But as we see proven with the progression of time, religion only changes its morals after everyone else.
I find this post offensive to yourself. Your coming out here and telling us all the big decisions in life, the hard moral decisions, you just listen to what god tells you. Aka your gut instinct. Do you think about these things for yourself? Oh yes, yes you do. Because that gut instinct feeling is not god you feel, its your subconscious making that decision for you, but that runs off of your moral and social learnings throughout life.
Let me put it this way. Hail SATAN!!!!

    1. Thank you for your post – please note I will not be approving the second post you submitted as it contains words in it which are inappropriate to my blo which I write for people of all ages to write – swearing is offensive and unnecessary.

I’m at a loss to know how you think you you can “find this post offensive to “me! Only I can find something offensive to me, and I certainly don’t find my own blog offensive!
You make some really confused comments about your childhood, which show you have simply not belived in God because He didn’t answer your prayers in the way YOU WANTED – Although I am 100% sure He DID amswer yor prayrs in the way He saw fit.
If you do not like what I have to say about my faith/my religion, do not read my blog posts. It is unhelpful to all who read my blog to have to read offensive comments like some you made (in your 2nd comment which I have not approved), and the fact that you felt you had to show your support for Satan, is offensive to me.
Thank you for your comments but I completely disagree with your viewpoint – I stand by my faith and my belief that God guides me in all I do.
