Good Friends

It’s funny how there are some people you consider to be friends can go out your life for a period of time, and when you re-engage with them, it’s like you’ve never met them before.

Then there are other friendships which despite the length of time you go without seeing or speaking to one another, you just seem to pick up where you left off the last time you met with them – These kind of friends are true friends.

Last week, I met up with a couple of friends, who despite living quite close to us, I hadn’t seen or spoken to them much in the last few years, other than at a few funerals! Despite this, I think we all had a good time – we had a lovely meal, and a good laugh as well as having some more serious conversations about our lives.

We have agreed not to leave it very long before we meet up for a night out again – I’m already looking forward to it.

In closing I just wanted to say that it is great to have good friends, who despite the miles between you, or the passage of time, are your friends for life. I hope and pray that you have found some friends for life too!
