Prayer for patience

As I’m sure I’ve said before, I’m not the most patient person, as so I regularly ask God to help me be more patient – I need to be patient with others and with God.

Join me in this prayer for patience:

I come to you today, with many things on my mind – Help me to give them all to you.

I know I am not a patient person, so I seek your peace and your patience. Help me to learn how to wait patiently for your answers to my prayers. Help me to learn how to be patient with others, as I know I find that difficult and frustrating.

Help me to be more aware of my emotions and my attitudes. Remind me that it is me who has control over my emotions and attitudes that I show to the world. I am willing to learn to overcome every challenging situation I face so I ask you to help me to show patience and an even temper at all times.

I know I need your help and guidance to complete the plans you have for me. I know you will provide all I need to achieve your plans for me, and so I pray for your direction, guidance and patience.

Thank you Father for all you have already provided for me, and thank you for your promise to always be by my side and hear and answer all my prayers.

  1. In this quiet moment still before your throne, longing for your presence knowing I am known. In this quiet moment set my spirit free. In this quiet moment make a better me. (Salvation Army, Sing To The Lord series ? volume ?)

  2. Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord, as we wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord. (x2) Our God you reign forever. Our hope. Our strong deliverer. You are the everlasting God, the everlasting God, you will not faint, you wont grow weary. You’re the defender of the weak, You comfort those in need, You lift us up on wings like eagles.
