Show them Christ

Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.

In these days of uncertainty because of the Coronavirus pandemic, the people need to be reminded more than ever that God loves them.

There are many people in this world who have never been loved, never heard of God, and don’t know God loves them. So in these days of uncertainty because of the Coronavirus pandemic, the world needs to be reminded that God loves them, and because of that, there is hope for the future.

For those who have never experienced God’s love for them, we can show them God, by showing them love. It’s easy to love someone who loves us in return, but it’s a whole different story to show love to someone who treats us badly, shows hatred towards us, or holds views opposite to those we believe – but remember, that’s exactly what Jesus did! What’s more, He instructed us, His followers, to do the same.

Jesus said ‘My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you’

John 15:12

If we can show unconditional love to others – regardless of how they treat us, and without condition or limits – they will see Christ in us.

Christ of Glory, Prince of Peace,
Let thy life in mine increase;
Though I live may it be shown
‘Tis thy life and not my own.
Dwell within, that men may see
Christ, the living Christ, in me.
