Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.
When did you last look in the mirror and think, “I’m happy being the person I am”?
We can all be guilty of wishing we were better at something, or looked different, or looked more like someone else, or had family or friends like someone else, or maybe we wish we had achieved the same goals as someone else or got the same recognition that they received.
We are who we are, and so can never be those other people, or have exactly what they have. Imagine how boring a world we’d live in if we were all the same – If we all looked the same, acted the same, and had the same family and friendship circles!
So take a moment just now to remind yourself that
Y O U A R E A M A Z I N G !
Yes, we’re all different – we have different personalities, different needs, different futures ahead of us, but that’s because God made us that way. So be the amazing individual God made you to be, today and every day!
Cos we are amazing If only we could believe that it’s all in His hands We’re a part of a plan that’s much bigger than us Yes we are amazing There’s nothing we can’t achieve and we don’t need to change So I’m gonna stay, just the way God made me
