Don’t turn your back

It can be easy to turn your back on difficult people or difficult situations, particularly when they make you feel uncomfortable, or maybe even guilty(?). But aren’t they exactly the people God has called us to reach out to and help?

So when you see someone less fortunate than yourself, don’t turn away and pretend you didn’t see them. Instead, acknowledge their presence, reach out to them, speak to them, and if you can, help them. Find out what they need and try and help – Maybe just a few minutes conversation with them, will acknowledge them that they aren’t invisible and do need human interaction. It may make their day, their week or even their year, though you may never know that, but that shouldn’t matter, as it’s about help others, and not self-gratification.

Just be Christ to them.
