New every morning #3

Last week my blog posts focused on the times when life is difficult and stressful. But in contrast, this week, I will focus on bible verses we can read to encourage and inspire you when you’re going through some tough times – they will lift your spirits and help you gain a new perspective on a tough situation.

The bible contains many instances where it encourages us to be strong and courageous even when we’re going through some difficult times. I’m going to share some verses this week that you may find helpful to use in your morning devotions as when we start our day feeling hopefully and inspired by God, it will help us to be more positive in our interactions with others during the day. Remember, all things are possible when we trust God, because His mercies are new every morning.

He told them, “It was because of your lack of faith. I promise you, if you have faith inside of you no bigger than the size of a small mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move away from here and go over there,’ and you will see it move! There is nothing you couldn’t do!”

Matthew 17:20 (The Passion Translation)

In this verse we are reminded that we don’t need to have the biggest faith, or be the most outspoken about our faith, for God to answer our prayers. Instead we simply have to believe in God, because when we trust Him, all things are possible.

Let our faith become a mountain
That will rise and never fall
Lifted high above the valley
We declare Your kingdom come
We will cling to what You've promised
Till the day You call us home
Let our faith become a mountain we stand on
