God has plans for us #2

I think it’s fair to say, we’d all like to live healthy, happy and successful lives. That’s probably why, even although we know being a Christian doesn’t mean we are guaranteed a happy, healthy or successful life, we can sometimes become discouraged when life is hard, and the plans we thought God had for us either don’t seem to be coming to fruition or don’t seem to be good for us.

It’s at times like these that we need to take a step back from what we’re facing, and feeling, and remind ourselves of God’s promises to us.

So in a series of posts I will share some verses from scripture which I hope will you will find helpful as they aim to remind us that God plans to provide for our welfare, our future, and give us hope.

In this post, I want to share a reminder of God’s plan for our welfare – He promises to fill our hearts with the same joy that Jesus has experienced.

While we cannot be assured of joy all of our lives, we can be assured of joy in our lives because of Jesus. That is more than sufficient for me, as without Jesus in my life, who knows how much joy I would know in my life!

My purpose for telling you these things is so that the joy that I experience will fill your hearts with overflowing gladness!

John 15:11 (The Passion Translation)

Because of Christ, God has given us everything we need in life, and will continue to provide for us until the day we see him face to face.

Even if you do find yourself going through difficult times, God still has a plan for you. Remember that because of Jesus, God has provided a way for us to live the life he created us to live, to glorify and honour Him forever – I believe that is a good plan for us.
