I read the following on someone’s social media feed recently. I can’t remember who said the words, or the circumstances behind them, but they have stuck with me.
We need each other. Forgive us when we forget. Help us remember.
Maybe you’re the kind of person who likes to spend time on your own; who likes to keep your private life private; who prefers to do everything yourself, rather than ask others for help. Alternatively, maybe you like to always be around others, and will willingly seek assistance from others whenever you need it.
Whichever type of person you are, we can’t get away from the fact that there are times in everyone’s life when we need someone else’s help. In other words, everyone needs others at some time in their lives.
The good news is, there is always someone who can help us, maybe a friend or a colleague, or maybe someone we don’t know at all such as a counselling service, a church pastor/minister, a charity that provides food/necessities to those who can’t otherwise afford them.
I pray today that we will always remember that there are people who can help us. Remember God places people in our lives when He knows we need them, so reach out and ask them for help.
