God has plans for us #6

I think it’s fair to say, we’d all like to live healthy, happy and successful lives. That’s probably why, even although we know being a Christian doesn’t mean we are guaranteed a happy, healthy or successful life, we can sometimes become discouraged when life is hard, and the plans we thought God had for us either don’t seem to be coming to fruition or don’t seem to be good for us.

It’s at times like these that we need to take a step back from what we’re facing, and feeling, and remind ourselves of God’s promises to us.

So over a series of posts I will share some verses from scripture which I hope will you will find helpful as they aim to remind us that God plans to provide for our welfare, our future, as well as giving us hope.

In this post, I want to share a reminder from God that he gives us hope that you have a rich inheritance.

I haven’t stopped thanking Him for you. I am continually speaking to Him on your behalf in my prayers. Here’s what I say:

God of our Lord Jesus the Anointed, Father of Glory: I call out to You on behalf of Your people. Give them minds ready to receive wisdom and revelation so they will truly know You. Open the eyes of their hearts, and let the light of Your truth flood in. Shine Your light on the hope You are calling them to embrace. Reveal to them the glorious riches You are preparing as their inheritance.

Ephesians 1:16-18 (The Voice)

He has given us a great inheritance to follow, left by Him, especially for us by His Son, Jesus. If we open our eyes and our hearts to Him we can follow that inheritance He has left for us.

Because of Christ, God has given us everything we need in life, and will continue to provide for us until the day we see him face to face.

Even if you do find yourself going through difficult times, God still has a plan for you. Remember that because of Jesus, God has provided a way for us to live the life he created us to live, to glorify and honour Him forever – I believe that is a good plan for us.
