God has plans for us #7

I think it’s fair to say, we’d all like to live healthy, happy and successful lives. That’s probably why, even although we know being a Christian doesn’t mean we are guaranteed a happy, healthy or successful life, we can sometimes become discouraged when life is hard, and the plans we thought God had for us either don’t seem to be coming to fruition or don’t seem to be good for us.

It’s at times like these that we need to take a step back from what we’re facing, and feeling, and remind ourselves of God’s promises to us.

So over a series of posts I will share some verses from scripture which I hope will you will find helpful as they aim to remind us that God plans to provide for our welfare, our future, as well as giving us hope.

In this post, I want to share a reminder from God that he will give you spiritual strength.

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

Ephesians 3:14-17 (NIV)

I’m sure we’ve all had times in our lives when we feel we have no spiritual strength to carry on. That is why these words from Ephesians should give each of us encouragement as God knows we will struggle at times, and therefore have made provision to give us strength when our strength is exhausted.

Because of Christ, God has given us everything we need in life, and will continue to provide for us until the day we see him face to face. 

Even if you do find yourself going through difficult times, God still has a plan for you. Remember that because of Jesus, God has provided a way for us to live the life he created us to live, to glorify and honour Him forever – I believe that is a good plan for us.
