Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.
I’m sure we’ve all had times when we’ve had a melody or tune going through our head constantly. Depending on what the tune is, and why it’s going though your head, can be the difference between the tune driving you up the wall, and it bringing you comfort or inspiration.
For more than a week now, I’ve had the words and melody of a song going through my head – The song concerned is ‘Through It All’ which we shared on here in Sunday morning. I’m not entirely sure why this song has been on my mind a lot for over a week.
What I do know is that life can be very tough at times. It can sometimes feel like there is no point in going on, as the world can sometimes seem a very dark and lonely place. During these times it can be easy for us to turn away from God because we think he doesn’t care or isn’t there for us anymore. However these are the times when we must put our faith and trust in God, because He will never leave us.
There are many references in the bible to God supporting us through troubles, so I’ve chosen just two verses from Psalms to share today.
Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
Psalm 37:24 (New Living Translation)
Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling.
Psalm 66:9 (New Living Translation)
When we do trust God, no matter what situations we face in life, our faith will keep us strong and we will trust God will help us through every situation. Trust God through it all.
