Captain

Life can be compared to a ship on a ocean – if the ship is watertight and has a good captain who can navigate the storms of the seas, the ship will successfully navigate it’s course from starting point to destination – Similarly, when we have a strong captain who can guide us through the calm waters and the storms of life we can find peace and contentment throughout life, because we know our captain is with us always.

The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”

Psalm 32:8

God must be the captain of your ship. He will navigate you through the murky, stormy waters of life and lead you to the calm seas.

Through waters uncharted my soul will embark
I'll follow Your voice straight into the dark
And if from the course You intend I depart
Speak to the sails of my wandering heart
Like the wind
You'll guide
Clear the skies before me
And I'll glide this open sea
Like the stars
Your word
Will align my voyage
And remind me where I've been
And where I am going
Lost in the shallows amidst fear and fog
Your truth is the compass
That points me back north
Jesus, my captain
My soul's trusted Lord
All my allegiance is rightfully Yours
Like the wind
You'll guide
Clear the skies before me
And I'll glide this open sea
Like the stars
Your word
Will align my voyage
And remind me where I've been
And where I am going
Like the wind
You'll guide
Clear the skies before me
And I'll glide this open sea
Like the stars
Your word
Will align my voyage
And remind me where I've been
And where I am going
Jesus, my captain
My soul's trusted Lord
All my allegiance is rightfully Yours
