Righteous

Ever come across someone who is so self-confident that no matter how wrong or inaccurate their words or actions are, they are still adamant that they are correct? Sometimes with these self-confident folk, because they’re always adamant they are never wrong, they come over as arrogant.

Sometime we just have to accept that there’s nothing we can say or do to change that overly self-confident person’s opinion of themselves. So why bother?

Well none of us are ever ‘always right’, even if we think we are! We are human, and as humans we sin, and we make mistakes, so there’s no way we can always be right.

There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.

Ecclesiastes 7:20

If you’ve ever come across some like this, it can be frustrating and difficult to reason with them, as once they have decided something, they tend not to want to listen to others opinions (as they think they know best). Do you think there’s anything we can do to help these folk? Of course there is, we can pray for them, AND we can pray that God will give us patience when speaking with them.

When we realise our errors and our sins, we take a huge step forward in recognising that we need to change how we act/react with others. I pray that whether you are the over confident, arrogant person I described in this blog, or whether you have to deal with someone who is, I hope you/they can, through God’s help, recognise your/their failings and sins, and make today the day you/they start to change.
