I’ve spoken a lot in these last few days about feeling as though we’re living in dark times, and generally just finding it challenging to see an end to the darkness, even though I know my belief in God means I know there is hope in the darkness because of Jesus.
I still feel we’re surrounded by darkness but having randomly stumbled across a specific verse of a song earlier today, I’m once again reassured that God does hear the prayers in my heart, and He will provide all I need.
When the darkness falls around me, When bewildered and afraid, When I feel the most deserted and betrayed, Then my ev’ry need is answered By God’s providential care, And His precious Holy Spirit hears my prayer, my prayer, Then my ev’ry need in answered By God’s providential care, And His precious Holy Spirit hears my prayer.
