When I read these verses of scripture I was reminded of playing hide and seek as a youngster, and how sometimes whoever was the ‘seeker’ spending ages looking for those who were hiding, and not seeing them, even when they appeared to look in the place they were hiding!
That can be a bit like our Christian experience can’t it, when we look for God in our current circumstances, and we don’t see Him, even although he’s there walking right beside us! Maybe we din’t really look close enough when we were playing hide and seek as youngsters, and maybe we don’t look close enough for God’s presence in our lives. Maybe that’s down to us not truly believing or trusting that God is always there for us.
So today let’s all take a longer and harder look for God in your life, because He is there. The more time we spend in God’s presence, the more we find find out about God’s love for us, and the more we’ll will trust and believe in Him in all circumstances.
