Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.
Who doesn’t like a good love story?
Well God’s sacrifice of His only son Jesus, is the greatest story of love we will ever hear.
What amazing love!
As we remember the death and resurrection of Jesus, take a few minutes to give thanks for the precious gift we’ve been given. God sent His son to die for our sins so that we could receive the gift of eternal life into the Kingdom of Heaven.
For God expressed His love for the world in this way: He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face everlasting destruction, but will have everlasting life.
John 3:16 (The Voice)
On resurrection morning, Jesus rose from the grave and the curse of sin was broken forever. Hallelujah!
He is risen!
Give glory to God for planning it, Jesus for enduring it, all so we can now receive the benefits from Jesus’ resurrection!
He is risen indeed!
After Jesus rose and ascended into heaven, He sent His Spirit to live on in our hearts and lives forever. To receive this eternal gift, we must personally ask Jesus to come into our lives and acknowledge Him as our Lord and Saviour.
We give thanks today that because of God’s great love for us, our sins are forgiven and we have been promised eternal life. We therefore pray today that God will help us to be the kind of people He wants us to be.
What an amazing story of love! God loves us so much that Jesus had to die for us – He gave his all, in love for me, and for you.
This is my body, broken for you, Bringing you wholeness, making you free. Take it and eat it. And as you do, do it in love for Me. This is my blood poured out for you, Bringing forgiveness, making you free. Take it and drink it, And as you do, do it in love for Me. Back to my Father soon I shall go Do not forget me, then you will see I am still with you, and you will know you’re very close to me. Filled with my Spirit, how you will grow You are my branches, I am the tree If you are faithful, others will know you are alive in me. Love one another, I have loved you and I have shown you how to be free serve one another, and when you do do it in love for me.
