I always find it easy to find faults with myself, which is no great surprise to me, as I’m a perfectionist, and therefore expect no faults or mistakes from myself which I know is unrealistic!
You may think being a perfectionist must be great, which to a certain extent is, but it is challenging, as it means I often expect far to much of myself, and put myself under pressure to achieve unrealistic goals I’ve set myself.
Why am I telling you this, well maybe you have questioned God about why he has made you with the characteristics you have. Consider this – maybe the things we think are our worst faults, are actually the things God will use for his greatest glory.
Who are you, a mere human, to argue with God? If God takes the time to shape us from the dust, is it right to point a finger at Him and ask, “Why have You made me this way?”
Romans 9:20 (The Voice)
Jesus died so that we might enjoy our life to the fullest. We’re not going to enjoy our life if we don’t enjoy ourselves. So be satisfied with yourself, and celebrate the unique way God made you.
