Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.
We often talk about God walking with us, but sometimes we forget the even greater truth: He goes ahead of us.
Before the meeting you’re dreading, before the diagnosis you fear, before the conversation you don’t know how to start — He is already there. Preparing. Softening. Shielding. Leading.
We’re reminded in Deuteronomy that we never walk into the unknown alone.
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:8
This means you never face a battle unaccompanied. You never step into tomorrow without God already standing in it.
So remember, before you ever step into a situation, God has already stepped into it for you.
Therefore, instead of trying to map out every detail or control every outcome in your life, let this be your prayer:
“Lord, lead me. I’ll follow.”
