Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?
1 Corinthians 3:16 (NIV)
There wonder in those words because Paul isn’t simply offering a reminder; he is issuing a wake‑up call to the church—a gentle but powerful nudge to remember who we truly are. Not who we feel like on a tired Sunday evening. Not who our circumstances suggest. Not who others assume. But who God Himself declares us to be.
We are His temple.
We carry His presence.
We host His Spirit.
That truth reshapes everything.
When we walk into a new week, we often carry the weight of unfinished tasks, lingering worries, or the sense that we’re not quite enough. But Scripture cuts through all of that noise with a deeper reality: God has chosen to dwell in us. Not visit occasionally. Not observe from a distance. Dwell.
And when God dwells somewhere, He transforms it.
He strengthens what is weak.
He purifies what is cluttered.
He restores what is broken.
He fills what is empty.
So as Sunday night settles in and you prepare for the week ahead, take a moment to breathe in this truth: you are not stepping into Monday alone. The Spirit of God goes with you, goes before you, and remains within you. His presence is not fragile. His presence is not conditional. His presence is not seasonal. It is steadfast, faithful, and active.
Let this shape your confidence.
Let it soften your anxieties.
Let it steady your heart.
Because wherever you go tomorrow, the presence of God goes too.
Here’s ‘Holy Spirit’ by Francesca Battistelli — a gentle, prayerful reminder of the One who dwells within and among us.
