I don’t know about you, but I find when I’m off work, and there are bank holidays, especially at Christmas and New Year time, I get completely mixed up about what day of the week it is. It’s confused even more this year because Christmas Day was on Sunday, so we have two days, Monday and Tuesday of this week, as holidays (and the same again next week).
So does that make today, Tuesday 27 December, Boxing Day number 2 for 2022? It kind of feels like it is, as it’s a holiday from work, and we’re still feeling stuffed after all we’ve eaten in the last few days for Christmas, between Christmas dinner on Christmas Day and a rerun yesterday on Boxing Day, plus all the essential chocolate, mince pies and cake we had to eat!
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll probably know I like watching football, so between the World Cup recently, and now the return of all the Scottish premier league, English Premiership and La Liga games, there’s an abundance of football on TV again just about every day of the week, again making it’s impossible to work out what day we’re on by whether there’s football on TV or not!
Even if today is Boxing Day part 2, we’re definitely not eating another Christmas dinner today! We have no great plans to eat anything much today, other than more chocolate, cake and any other unhealthy nibbles we haven’t yet eaten!
Other than food, we’ve so far spent today catching up on another few programmes we’d recorded over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day etc, and now we’ve sat down to watch the football on TV tonight again. So all in all another lazy, TV, eating kinda day…quite possibly classifying it as Boxing Day number 2 2022!
